SEDC Webinar: Demand Response in the residential sector (Sept. 26th)

The SEDC would like to invite you to join us on Friday, September, 26th 2014 at 15:00 CEST for our free webinar on “Demand Response in the residential sector”.

Residential consumers hold one key role in the energy transition. As intermittent renewable energies continue to develop, the need for the demand of electricity to adapt to these fluctuations becomes vital for the electric system. Today, programmes and devices are already in place to enable households to play an active role.

Listen to 3 leading companies in this field and learn about how to engage households in Demand Response programmes. Specialised in aggregation, research or technology, our guests will tell us more about the key requirements to unlock the benefits of an active demand-side.

This event will include three presentations and a Q/A session, we’re looking forward to your participation.

EPIA – SEDC Conference on Consumer Empowerment    [19/03/2014]

EPIA and SEDC join forces to organise a Conference on Consumer Empowerment on 19 March 2014 at the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels. While the European Commission is expected to present a new initiative aimed at enhancing the functioning of the retail energy markets, it is perfect time to understand how to deliver concrete benefits to energy consumers.

This initiative should in particular foster consumers’ engagement and help them control their energy costs. While a public consultation is on-going, EPIA and SEDC partner for an event during which concrete levers for consumers’ empowerment will be presented.
Demand response, self-consumption of renewable electricity and energy cooperatives can bring more benefits to the energy consumers. This event will also be the occasion to exchange with representatives from the European Commission and energy regulators about how to ensure these solutions can be supported and developed.
The Conference, taking place from 14h30 till 17h30, will be followed by a networking cocktail.

More information, including the agenda and the registration form, is available here.
